چکیده

Cellular aggregates play a significant role in the evolution of biological systems such as tumor growth, tissue spreading, wound healing, and biofilm formation. Analysis systems, principle, includes examining interplay cell-cell interactions together with cell-matrix interaction. These two interaction types mainly drive dynamics cellular which is intrinsically out equilibrium. Here we propose non-linear continuum mechanics formulation corresponding finite element simulation framework to model physics aggregate As an example, focus particular on process bacterial colony formation recently studied by Kuan et al. Thereby describe aggregation active phase separation phenomenon. We develop Lagrangian description problem yields substantial simplification formulations governing equations. Due presence spatial Hessian Laplacian operators, gradient-enhanced approach required incorporate C1 continuity. In addition, robust efficient provided. Taylor-Hood elements are utilized for implementation avoid instabilities related LBB condition. Finally, through set numerical examples, influence various parameters investigated. Our proposed methodology furnishes general investigation rheology non-equilibrium aggregates.

Three-dimensional modeling of transport phenomena in a planar anode-supported solid oxide fuel cell

In this article three dimensional modeling of a planar solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) was investigated. The main objective was to attain the optimized cell operation. SOFC operation simulation involves a large number of parameters,   complicated equations, (mostly partial differential equations), and a sophisticated simulation technique; hence, a finite element method (FEM) multiphysics approach ...

Direct Simulation of Aggregation Phenomena

We present here an algorithm to simulate the motion of rigid bodies subject to a non–overlapping constraint, and which tend to aggregate when they get close to each other. The motion is induced by external forces. Two types of forces are considered here: drift force induced by the action of a surrounding fluid whose motion is prescribed, and stochastic forces modelling random shocks of molecule...

Thermodynamic Characterization of the Aggregation Phenomena of Safranine‌T by Spectral Titration and Chemometric Analysis

The dimerization constants of Safranine T have been determined by studying the dependence of its absorption spectra on the temperature in the range 30–70 ◦C at different total concentrations of Safranine T (1.03×10−5, 1.44×10−5 and 1.73×10−5 M). The monomer–dimer equilibrium of Safranine T has been determined by applying MCR-ALS method on the absorpti...

Modeling of A Single Turn Pulsating Heat Pipe based on Flow Boiling and Condensation Phenomena

Demand for high-performance cooling systems is one of the most challenging and virtual issues in the industry and Pulsating heat pipes are effective solutions for this concern. In the present study, the best predictor correlations of flow boiling and condensation are taken into account to model a single turn pulsating heat pipe mathematically. These considerations, result in derivation of more ...
